I was planning to purchase a Lowe Alpine product similar to this one after I had my camera gear stolen when my wife suggested that I see what theft-proof products were available. I did a google search and found this amazing product. Both products were equally padded with laptop pockets and all-weather covers. This product additional to the many safety features also can be opened up to make a larger one-compartment pack by removing the camera padding. It's almost half a pound lighter and the outside pocket can be used to hold my medium-sized tripod. The laptop/hydration pocket is slightly larger as well - plenty of room for my ipad and its protective case.

I agree with my namesake about this bag. I am a big fan of Pacsafe products and had been eagerly anticipating the release of this bag and am very glad I made the purchase. As a semi-pro photographer I have a fair amount of gear to carry, and am able to fit everything easily. Canon DSLR, an 180-135 lens, L series 70-200 lens, and a portable flash pack with a 10" reflector. There are two slots to store extra cards and tripod/drink holder is great. I can fit my Blackberry playbook in the main pocket easily. The top section is perfect for anything else you might need to carry or pick up during your day. The rain cover is a pretty much must have for a photography bag and very happy to see this one has it. My main concern was of course the weight on my back but has been designed very well and i have little pain after a long trek in the city with this on. I would definitely recommend this bag, especially to a paranoid gear watcher like myself.

this bag has everything a photographer needs in a bag for either traveling or walking around town. the velcro section can be adjusted to fit your gear and the separate top section is really great for keeping other stuff off your camera. the security zippers can get a little clogged on the smart clasp but you'll be more than happy knowing your bag is properly secured without having to constantly worry about your bag. there are similar photo bags available but they lack the Pacsafe security features and not to mention it feels great on the back! I used to carry my camera in a regular backpack but would worry about the rain, luckily this has the built in rain cover that easily slips over the bag.
